Tourist Tax - туристическа такса
The tourist tax (туристическа такса) is an overnight accommodation tax levied to visitors per person per night. If the accommodation is located in a designated tourist resort, the tax is only levied for the first night.
The tourist tax rate is determined by local municipalities, within a range of BGN 0.20 to BGN 3.00 per night, as established by the national government. Further information here. According to Bulgaria’s Local Taxes and Fees Act, the maximum rate any municipality can impose is capped at BGN 3.00 per night.
