Taxe Touristique / Toeristenbelasting
The tourist tax (taxe touristique or toeristenbelasting) is also known as city tax (stadsbelastingen) or tax on the provision of accommodation (belasting op het verstrekken van logies).
The tax is decided by local governments (municipalities) using the flat rate per person or room, per night.

Bruges – €2.83 per person, per night (excluding VAT) from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2025.

Kortrijk – €1.75 per person, per night (excluding VAT) from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2024.
Ostend – €2.83 per person, per night (excluding VAT) from 1 January 2021 until 31 December 2024.
