This seminar is part of a continuing series of seminars run by ETOA that address all aspects of cultural tourism; community engagement and product diversification are both essential to any strategy for destination and capacity management, and the long-term sustainability of tourism as a job generator that celebrates and sustains local identity.

The diversity of Andalusia, where the relationships and co-existence between distinct cultures have left their mark in landscape and architecture, as well as in its intangible heritage from dance to cuisine, provides a wealth of opportunity for product development. It offers profound and stimulating insight into the success of multi-cultural societies throughout European history.

These might be some of the reasons why a wide variety of leisure tourism buyers are looking with increasing attention at opportunities in southern Spain and North Africa, and for alternatives to some of the most famous sites.
