The Digital City Visitor Conference

The Digital City Visitor Conference will focus on the digital visitor experience of destinations, from inspiration, through booking and on to in-destination services.

The conference takes place on Tuesday, 12th June, from 9am to 3.15pm at the Barbican Centre in London, and includes a networking lunch.

Our selected speakers will discuss the topics below:

  • Optimising the Visitor Experience – How can technology help? Can a destination ever be “too full” of tourists? This issue has been much-discussed in the media and with local legislators. In our opening session we look at examples of technology-based solutions that are helping ease this problem and give visitors the best experience possible in their destination.
  • Digitisation in Tours and Attractions – What’s New? Digital innovation is having an irreversible impact on tourist attractions and activities. This session looks at new technology that is changing the way visitors can see, book and experience attractions, and what we can expect in the future.
  • Making Social Work Social media and the travel industry are natural partners. How can we make the most of the opportunities it presents – where should we invest money and which influencers should we work with? Hear from experts in the field and case studies of what has worked well.
  • Innovation Plug A quick-fire look at what’s new in travel technology and how these innovations could help destinations and travel businesses.
