The European tourism association was founded in 1989 by a group of tour operators who wanted representation in Europe

About ETOA

ETOA is the leading trade association for tour operators and suppliers with business in European destinations. Over 900 members contribute more than €12bn of business within Europe and include tour and online operators, intermediaries and wholesalers; European tourist boards, hotels, attractions and other tourism suppliers.

ETOA offers an unparalleled networking/contracting platform for tourism professionals organising B2B events (BIMHEM, City Fair, GEM).  The organisation provides advocacy support on a European level, high profile industry campaigns and B2B marketing representation opportunities; all in order to promote Europe as a number one tourism destination.

Meet the Team

The Secretariat, located in London, UK, and representation in Italy, Spain and France is responsible for the day-to-day running of the association's affairs, such as arrangements of committee meetings, events management and marketing, maintaining the website, and communicating with members. 

In addition, ETOA runs an Advisory Council and has its own Constitution.
