Registration for the 2017/18 Tour Guide ID card is now open
The site has undergone some changes for 2017/18, The cost of the Tour Guide ID card has increased from £20.00 to £21.00 + VAT @20%. The cost for a replacement ID card if lost or stolen during the season remains at £5.00.
Your ID card will be valid from the date of application until the 31st of March of the following year.
Please note Tour Guides can only apply for the ID card if they are contracted to ETOA member companies.
The format and function of the card are unchanged. ETOA members continue to benefit from legal advice relating to tour guiding, and ETOA remains vigorous in its efforts to ensure tour guiding is accorded the support it needs at a European and national level.
To this end, we are pleased to note that the legislative proposal for a revised Professional Qualifications Directive makes significant moves towards removing some of the obstacles faced by tour guides seeking to work in countries where guiding remains a regulated activity.
